Welcome to another weekly newsletter for members of FaithAction.  If you know anyone who would benefit from receiving this newsletter, feel free to forward this to them and get them to sign up!  Go to www.faithaction.net for more information.

Flexible New Deal (FND)

Last year FaithAction was part of an advisory group for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).  This focused specifically on the Code of Conduct for Flexible New Deal.  Since then, FaithAction has continued to be connected with the DWP.

DWP

FaithAction has met with the DWP a number of times to ensure the voice of Faith Based Organisations delivering welfare to work is given due consideration.  Last month the DWP asked Daniel Singleton, National Executive Director of FaithAction, to be more involved in an ongoing advisory group relating to the welfare to work programmes.

Future Jobs Fund Steering Group

FaithAction has also been a part of the Future Jobs Fund Steering Group on the DWP’s new £1bn Future Jobs Fund.  We were able to directly input ideas from some of our members on how they thought the Fund should be used and how they would benefit from it.  The bidding has opened on the fund, and you can find further details by clicking here.

Working together for Future jobs

FaithAction has been talking to a number of members about the Future Jobs Fund above and the possibility of working in a consortium for the fund.  If you are interested in getting involved in the fund but would like to work in partnership, please contact FaithAction as soon as possible on the number below.   The Office of the Third Sector are running a training event on the Fund, click here for further details
