Daniel Singleton, National Executive Director

Daniel Singleton is the National Executive Director of FaithAction, a role he has performed for over three years.
Through this role, Daniel has become influential in a number of government departments often promoting the ‘voice of the sensible’ and highlighting the role for Faith based organisations in communities around the UK. Daniel has also met with a number of member organisations often helping the organisation move forward and develop in their delivery.
Daniel is also a gifted speaker and has spoken at a number of large conferences particularly on engaging with government, the role of Faith and how to start engaging your community in the projects that you are running.
Before his work with FaithAction, Daniel worked as a History teacher in an East London Secondary School and later as a Quality Director for a large voluntary sector organisation in East London. Daniel is also a chair of governors for a developing school and currently has the responsibility of an alternative school for our host organisation in Barking and Dagenham.

Hannah Walker, National Co-ordinator

Hannah Walker is the National Co-ordinator for FaithAction. In this role, Hannah is responsible for all member services as well as planning national events, reviewing and calculating how Government policy will affect members and ensuring that the FaithAction message is communicated to all contacts and groups. Hannah also works closely with Daniel Singleton, the National Executive Director to help shape the strategic direction of FaithAction. Hannah will be covering Felicity Smith’s maternity leave until she returns in the coming year.
Hannah recently graduated from the University of East Anglia with a 1st Class Honours degree in International Development. Before joining FaithAction she was involved in a number of youth work and community outreach projects through churches in Bristol, and further afield in Brazil and Nepal. She has worked for several charities in research and media-related roles.

Philip Cole, Legal Research and Policy Advisor

Philip Cole is a legal research and policy adviser at FaithAction. Through this role, Philip works on government policy, translating it and seeking how it can apply to our members. Philip is also working on our community in focus programme, which allows him to work closely with members to enable them to have more efficient local impact. Philip reports directly to the National Co-ordinator.
Philip is Sierra Leonean and grew up working with child soldiers at the Nehemiah Project in Sierra Leone. On moving to UK in 2006, he continued to work with young people across East London. Philip has previously worked as Deputy Co-ordinator for LifeLine Network International, an international network of partners in 22 countries. Philip also speaks at high profile events about his experience of working with child soldiers and international development. Philip has an honours degree in Law from London Metropolitan University and expects to gain his Legal Practice Certificate from College of Law in 2012.

Jeremy Simmons, Policy Advisor Intern

Jeremy Simmons is a policy intern with the FaithAction team. In this role, he has worked to devise and write new training resources for members, seeking to condense the knowledge and expertise within FaithAction and affiliated organisations into a tangible form. He is also conducting research into organisations both in the UK and overseas to keep FaithAction and its members attuned to the changing relationships between faith, society and government.

Chris Miller, Website Administrator

Chris Miller is the website administrator for FaithAction and one of the team’s volunteers. In this role, he works on the FaithAction website to keep its readers up-to-date with the latest news and events. He is also responsible for FaithAction's membership details, working to ensure that all FaithAction members' details are correct and up-to-date. In-between work on the website, he also assists Felicity around the office with a varied range of research and administrative tasks.

Jenny Byrne, Policy Officer

Jenny Byrne is a Policy Officer for FaithAction. As part of her role, Jenny has the responsibility for researching policy documents, Bills, websites and project reports to ensure that FaithAction is proactive in influencing policy. Jenny also provides the basis of the FaithAction Briefing Papers on various policy initiatives by the government.
She has also been a local contact and a volunteer event coordinator for a national charity which supports children with trachea-oesophageal fistulas (TOFs) and is active in her church.
Jenny has a background in teaching, training and employment support programmes and helped several charities to become viable. She has an Honours degree in Geology.
