NCVO launches project to encourage positive news stories about charities
NCVO has announced a project called Constructive Voices to ensure that the public hear about the positive work done by charities.
The project will be led by Giselle Green, a former BBC news producer, who was recently hired by NCVO to act as media coordinator for the project. NCVO has consistently championed the idea that more positive news stories about charities are needed.
In an introductory blog Green wrote about how she hopes the project will work. She said NCVO would recruit an advisory body of figures from the media and small and large charities “to guide us and offer expert input”, which will be led by Martyn Lewis, NCVO chair and former BBC news presenter.
