Funding Round-up
The First Utility Foundation is currently offering grants for projects that support vulnerable families and children, older people or people people with disabilities, particularly projects with a track record of reaching marginalised communities or that deliver innovative solutions. Two levels of grants are available: General Support grants of £3,000-£10,000 to cover core costs, and Flagship grants of up to £20,000 to support a specific project’s work.
Deadline for initial applications is 29th February.
Heart Research UK is currently accepting applications for its Healthy Hearts Grants Programme, which offers grants of up to £5,000 and £10,000 for projects that promote heart health and help to reduce the risk of heart disease in specific groups or communities.
Deadline for applications is 30th March.
UnLtd is offering funding of up to £15,000 to social entrepreneurs who have a strong vision for improving their community and be a catalyst for social change. Succesful applicants also receive three years of support and a diagnostic of their social venture.
Deadline for expressions of interest is 11th February. Deadline for full applications is 18th February.
The Royal Bank of Scotland is currently running its Skills and Opportunities Fund, offering funding to non-profit groups working to develop skills and opportunities for people in disadvantaged communities to enable them to help themselves. Funding will be divided among seven regions, which will have differing priorities. There will also be a public vote considered when awarding grants.
Deadline for applications is 19th February.
The A B Charitable Trust is offering grants of between £7,500 and £10,000 to charities that work to defend human rights and support vulnerable individuals, with a focus on refugees and asylum seekers, and prisoners and penal reform.
Deadline for applications is 4th March.
Help the Homeless are offering grants of up to £5,000 to small and medium charities to support projects that assist disadvantaged individuals return to mainstream society through residential or training facilities.
Deadline for applications is 15th March.
The Gregg Foundation’s Core Funding Programme is currently offering grants of up to £15,000/year for 3 years to cover core costs of organisations in the North East working and supporting disadvantaged people, particularly the disabled, the homeless, voluntary carers or older and isolated people.
Deadline for applications is 4th March.
The HealthPerfect CIC’s Active Communities programme is offering funding to organisations in Cornwall, the Siciliy Isles, Cheshire East, West, Warrington, Chester and Halton, of between £5,000 and £25,000 per year for projects that target areas most affected by health inequalities.
Deadline for applications is 17th February.
NHS England’s Learning Disability Engagement Team is offering grants to voluntary and community groups to projects helping people with learning disabilities to be heard and be involved in improving healthcare services. Grants are for up to £10,000 from a pot of £40,000
