Reviewing the Mental Health Act – tell us about its impact on minority groups
The Mental Health Act is being reviewed in the light of a number of issues, including the rising numbers of people detained under it, and the disproportionate numbers of those who are from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
The VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance, of which FaithAction is a member, is working with the Department of Health (DH) to support the review. The DH wants to run a number of focus groups with a variety of organisations leading them. If FaithAction were to offer to run one of the focus groups, would you be interested in taking part?
If you have experience or expertise in this area and would be interested in attending a focus group in the New Year, please contact Rodie Garland: [email protected] / 020 8597 2900
