Programmes for young people involving First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and Life Skills
UK Youth, a member of the Young People’s Health Partnership, have been commissioned by NHS England to conduct a scoping study to learn about programmes for young people involving First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and the life skills that underpin these, as well as more general health and wellbeing initiatives. They are particularly interested in learning about approaches that engage 7-14 year-olds from diverse backgrounds and those experiencing disadvantage.
They will be collating findings and putting together recommendations for a potential pilot programme in Jan 2020. As part of the consultation, UK Youth are speaking to youth organisations, health organisations and young people. They are encouraging honest insights and want to get a true picture of what works and what the challenges are to ensure they recommend a viable and sustainable approach.
