For a Greener NHS – ideas to reduce environmental impact and improve health

We are seeing increasing evidence of the impact of climate change. Like many organisations, the NHS has identified the need for action now.

All NHS staff are being encouraged to step-up activity to tackle this challenge as part of the For a Greener NHS campaign.

An expert panel has been assembled which will look at changes the NHS can make in its own activities – but everyone’s input is needed help this process.

A ‘call for evidence’ has been launched inviting the public, NHS staff, representative groups, charities and experts to submit their ideas on how the NHS can be more environmentally friendly.

The deadline for submissions is 22 March 2020, and ideas can be submitted here.
