Advice regarding NHS volunteers relating to COVID-19

NHS England and NHS Improvement have updated their guidance regarding NHS volunteers and COVID-19.

This guidance is targeted at all staff managing volunteers in the NHS and refers to members of the public with a formalised volunteering role in primary or secondary care in the NHS. Please be aware that current government advice includes volunteers in health and social care within the definition of ‘key workers’. Therefore, NHS volunteers fall within this category.
