Improving your charity’s cyber security
The National Cyber Security Centre have released a guide for small charities on how to improve cyber security quickly, easily and at low cost.
Like businesses, charities are increasingly reliant on IT and technology and are falling victim to a range of malicious cyber activity. Losing access to this technology, having funds stolen or suffering a data breach through a cyber attack can be devastating, both financially and reputationally.
They want to help you to feel better-armed to face the challenges that come with such rapid technological advancement, and although they can’t guarantee protection from all types of cyber attack, following the advice in the Cyber Security: Small Charity Guide will significantly increase your protection from the most common types of cyber crime.
The five topics covered in the guidance are easy to understand, and are free or cost little to implement.
