Giving Voice: A creative outlet for women by the Pascal Theatre Company
Feelings of isolation, frustration and loneliness are understandably increasing as lockdown continues. In response, Pascal Theatre Company are expanding their project ‘Giving Voice’ to offer women a stimulating creative outlet. They would very much like to reach disabled, BAME, refugee women of all ages and those suffering disabilities as a result of ageing and hope you can help them do this.
The project, funded by City Bridge Trust, involves participants choosing a photo (or other prompt) that has some significance to them and sharing the story behind the photo. They can choose to produce a written or spoken text (max 500 words) that will form part of an online storybook to be launched in the spring on the Pascal Theatre Company website. Women are offered the chance, if they want, to partner a professional writer or actor to help them do this so they can enjoy having contact with someone outside their home and who has creative skills. Contact will be made by phone/Zoom/email.
