Letter to Share: Accessing the COVID-19 vaccine without an NHS number and how to register with a GP
A letter from NHS England and NHS Improvement and Public Health England explains how people can get the COVID-19 vaccine and, if they want to, register at a GP practice.
The letter stresses that people do not need to have a GP or an NHS number to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and reassures that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and available to every adult living in the UK, free of charge without any immigration checks.
People can organise their vaccination by contacting their local GP practice or by going to a walk-in or pop-up vaccination centre. The letter will be available in other languages soon.
If you support people who don’t have an NHS number, please share the letter which is also published in COVID-19: migrant health guide.
