Learning Disability England: Equal Treatment Funding Opportunity
Learning Disability England are launching a new project about peer support and self-advocacy groups led by or including people with a learning disability from minority ethnic groups.
Equal treatment is about challenging racism and health inequalities experienced by people with learning disabilities from minority ethnic group through strengthening self-advocacy and peer support.
Funded by the NHS and working with Race Equality Foundation, the project has three strands and Learning Disability England are looking for an organisation to lead on each part:
- Strengthening inclusive self-advocacy
- Strengthening family led or parent peer support
- Strengthening local community responses on tackling health inequalities and unfair treatment
