Friends, Families & Travellers: Policy and Research Officer Vacancy
Friends, Families and Travellers, part of the VCSE Health & Wellbeing Alliance, are recruiting for a part time Policy and Research Officer.
They are a leading national charity working with Gypsies, Travellers and Roma regardless of ethnicity, culture or background. They seek to end racism and discrimination against Gypsies, Travellers and Roma and to protect the right to pursue a nomadic way of life. Over half of the team are from diverse travelling communities.
Overall purpose of role
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities experience some of the starkest inequalities of any groups in the UK. In this role, you will be working closely with the Public Affairs and Policy Manager and alongside their advocacy and communications teams to tackle the root causes of inequalities faced by Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
The role involves policy, research and public affairs work across their key areas of work, which includes accommodation, healthcare, education and in challenging hate.
The salary is £27,344 – £29,439 pro-rata depending on experience, and the closing date is 9am on Tuesday 25th April 2023.
