Organ Donation Week: Pass It On

This week is Organ Donation Week, and NHS Organ Donation are running a campaign to help raise awareness of the upcoming changes to organ donation law.

From spring 2020, England will be moving to an ‘opt-out’ system for organ donation – all adults will be treated as if they have agreed to donate their organs on death, unless they have recorded a decision stating otherwise, either with the NHS Organ Donor Register or with friends and family. The campaign asks for people to:

• Pass on the fact that the law is changing
• Make a decision whether they want to pass on their organs to save and improve lives
• Pass on their organ donation decision to their friends and family
