Report: A window of opportunity: understanding the needs and experiences of pregnant women and new mothers in contact with the criminal justice system in the community

Clinks in collaboration with Birth Companions recently released a report: A window of opportunity: understanding the needs and experiences of pregnant women and new mothers in contact with the criminal justice system in the community

The report was supported by the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance. Surveys were conducted among voluntary sector professionals supporting pregnant women and recent mothers in the community (either released from prison on licence or serving community sentences) and specialist safeguarding midwives. The report also draws upon focus groups with voluntary sector professionals, and women with lived experience, to inform the findings and recommendations.
