Homeless Health Consortium: Preparing for the risk of suicide
The Homeless Health Consortium, part of the VCSE Health & Wellbeing Alliance, have been working on a project on suicide prevention. They have produced a range of resources to support practitioners and their organisations to be better equipped to work with people who are at risk of suicide. They are running a free workshop at 2pm on 30th March that will cover:
- Supporting people experiencing suicidal thoughts
- Risk awareness and assessment including practice
- Preparing your organisation
The workshop is open to managers and staff although some aspects may be more relevant to people with responsibility for developing or implementing policies and protocols.
Please note: The workshop is on preparing the organisation rather than training on how to support those experiencing suicidal thoughts. Homeless Link also offer training on this topic.
