Department for Education: Reform of Children’s Social Care
The Department for Education are holding three consultations relating to the reform of Children’s Social Care.
The three separate consultations are:
Stable Homes Built on Love: Implementation Strategy and Consultation – backed by £200million over the next two years, this strategy lays the foundations for whole system reform and is informed by three independent reviews including the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care. We are consulting on our vision and proposals to reform Children’s Social Care.
Children’s Social Care National Framework and Dashboard: The National Framework will become statutory guidance by the end of the year. It has been created to set direction for practice with children, young people and families. It sets out the purpose and principles of children’s social care, as well as outcomes and enablers in the system.
Child and family social worker workforce: Proposals to introduce national rules on the use of agency child and family social workers in local authority children’s social care.
