NHS funding to support ICS & VCSE partnerships in research participation
NHS England are holding three upcoming webinars to find out more about new funding to support ICSs, the voluntary and community sector and research partners. The funding can be used for partnerships working together to increase diversity in research participation.
As seen throughout recent years, research can be transformative for the health sector. Research can help ICSs to address community driven health priorities and to plan for healthier futures; NHS England’s Innovation, Research and Life Sciences team are launching a programme to support ICSs to increase diversity in research participation through the development of new or existing research networks and activity.
ICSs will need to do this in partnership with their VCSE alliance, and their local NIHR Clinical Research Network or other NIHR infrastructure. ICSs are invited to work with local partners to deliver locally driven approaches that:
- develop or establish local multi-stakeholder research engagement networks,
- engage with local communities to build awareness of and increase inclusive opportunities to take part in research,
- develop a greater diversity of local participation in research.
ICS partnerships will be awarded up to £100,000 each to develop locally determined approaches to deliver these ambitions. Find out more information (including how to apply) about this funding opportunity by joining one of the webinars below.
Thursday 27th July 10:00 – 11:00,
