Valuing People’s Alliance: Finding out about Virtual Wards
The Valuing People’s Alliance, part of the VCSE Health & Wellbeing Alliance, are doing a project on virtual wards in order to understand the reasonable adjustments needed when someone with a learning disability or someone who is also autistic, has a virtual ward.
Virtual wards are sometimes called Hospital at home. Virtual wards mean you stay at home instead of going to the hospital if you are very ill, so you get the healthcare you need at home instead of in a hospital.
They want to hear from people themselves, families or paid supporters, who either have a view on how this might work or have direct experiences of virtual wards.
