Help improve children and young people’s cancer care and receive a £60 gift voucher in return!

The Under 16 Cancer Patient Experience Survey helps NHS England to understand and improve children and young people’s cancer and tumour care in England. The NHS needs help from children and young people who have used NHS cancer and tumour services, and their parents/carers, to test the survey. Your help is really important to the NHS and will contribute to improving the survey and how it is used to make children and young people’s cancer and tumour care better. The survey is run by NHS England and delivered by Picker, a health and social care research charity.

What’s involved?

  • Interviews will take place between October and January. This stage will be to talk about your cancer or tumour care and will be conducted over the telephone or via video call on your computer, phone or tablet device. Some interviews can also take place in person, depending on your preference.
  • The interview would last no more than one hour
  • Your input will ensure the survey is suitable for understanding and improving children’s cancer care.

You can Volunteer if:

  • You are aged 8 to 16 and have received cancer or tumour treatment or care in the last 2 years.
  • You are a parent or carer of a child aged 8 to 16 who has received cancer or tumour treatment or care in the last 2 years and is taking part in an interview.

If you agree to take part, we will schedule a convenient time to go over the questionnaire with you and/or your child.

You will receive a £60 ‘Love2Shop’ or Amazon gift voucher per person, per interview, as a thank you. For interviews with the parent and child taking part, two vouchers will be given.
