Improving Uptake of Annual Health Checks for People with a Learning Disability from Black, Asian and Minoritised Ethnic backgrounds
The Race Equality Foundation has been working on more equal health care for people with a learning disability from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, making sure more people get an annual health check.
The REF has found that there is not enough information on annual health checks for people with a learning disability, therefore they are currently looking for people with lived experience of a learning disability and from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic communities who have attended an annual health check.
The project will develop a video that explains what an annual health check is and why it is so important to have one. The video will help raise awareness and uptake of annual health checks for people with learning disabilities.
