Experience of Care Webinar

The Experience of Care Subgroup, part of the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance, are holding an Experience of Care webinar held via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 17th October 2024, 12:00-13:30. The Webinar will be chaired by Madeline Cooper (Valuing People Alliance) and Cristina Serrao (Experience and Partnerships Team, NHSE).

The webinar will include:

• A presentation from Locality around their recent report: Creating inclusive services: How community organisations help tackle acute health inequalities.
• Three short case studies from VCSE organisations working with ICS’s and people with lived experience to improve experiences of care:
  1. End of life care with travelling and boating communities  – Kathryn Drysdale and Kate Buttler, Coventry and Warwickshire ICB
  2. Collaborating with the Vol sector on commissioning and service design – Rachel Jennings, NHS Suffolk North Eeast Essex ICB/ ICP
  3. Peer researchers developing a framework for refugees and those seeking asylum working with 8 ICBs – Emma Cookson, British Red Cross

• The webinar will then conclude with a panel discussion around people and communities, ICSs and VCSE organisations working together, with learning from their experiences and the difference it has made.
